Since 2006, SPG has been taking mobile camps further, empowering project teams of exploration professionals to work in demanding industries, in the remotest areas of Western Australia. We design, manufacture, and maintain all SPG caravans in-house, to Australian standards. They are custom designed, backed by our 16+ years’ experience to withstand any harsh, remote location, and provide a high level of comfort to camp residents. What's Included In An SPG Turnkey Camp?

Everything the site needs to run from day one. Power comes from generators with full distribution, water is supplied and stored (including bore installation where needed), and sewage and rubbish removal are handled on an ongoing basis. Satellite communications keep the site connected, with 24/7 support from our Newman depot. On the people side, SPG puts a chef, housekeeping and maintenance crew, and camp management on site, working to our WHS-compliant operational policies. Catering runs three meals a day to dietary requirements, and linen, bedding and first aid, including a defibrillator and oxygen, are supplied as standard.

Does A Turnkey Camp Include Internet & Communications?

Yes. Every SPG camp runs on satellite data and communications, with satellite TV available if you want it. We also offer Starlink internet for a more reliable connection. Support runs around the clock from our Newman and Perth depots, because a comms dropout on a remote site can’t wait for business hours.

How Much Does A Turnkey Camp Cost?

There’s no flat rate, because no two sites are the same. Cost depends on headcount, how remote the site is, contract length and the level of catering and infrastructure required. Send us your coordinates, headcount and timeline and we’ll quote against the actual job.

How Quickly Can SPG Mobilise A Turnkey Camp?

It depends on scope and site access, but working out of Newman gives us a shorter run into the Pilbara than a Perth-based provider, which counts when your crew is already booked. Give us your coordinates and start date and we’ll confirm a mobilisation timeline against your project schedule.

What's The Process For Setting Up A Turnkey Camp With SPG?

It starts with a scope conversation: headcount, location, contract length and anything specific to the site. From there, SPG mobilises the equipment and sets up power, water, sewage and communications, with chef, housekeeping and management staff in place before your crew arrives. The same team stays on site for maintenance, catering and day-to-day running for the life of the contract.

What Safety & Compliance Standards Does An SPG Camp Meet?

Every camp runs under SPG’s Camp Operational Policies and Procedures, built to current WHS regulations, with staff qualifications, training and inductions coordinated through our HR process. SPG also runs a zero-release environmental policy across its camps, which matters if you carry personal liability for site safety and environmental compliance.
