Mobile Camp Solutions For Power Projects
SPG supports power generation, transmission and maintenance projects across Western Australia, from large scale upgrades to ongoing power line maintenance programs. Our mobile camps, site accommodation and workforce support solutions are designed to suit remote and demanding environments.
Power infrastructure projects often operate along linear corridors that span vast distances. Camps may need to relocate as works progress, and access to existing infrastructure is often limited. SPG acts as a dependable infrastructure support partner, delivering practical and scalable solutions that keep your workforce safe, supported and productive.

Industry Challenges
Power generation and transmission projects present unique logistical challenges, particularly when operating along remote transmission corridors or in undeveloped terrain. Camps often need to move as works progress, and project teams must manage workforce wellbeing, compliance and operational efficiency in isolated environments. Common challenges include:
- Remote power line routes located at significant distances from towns or accommodation
- Limited access for heavy vehicles or road trains
- Camps needing to relocate during the project lifecycle
- Workforce fatigue due to long travel distances and isolated conditions
- Strict environmental and WHS compliance requirements
- Fluctuating crew sizes across construction and maintenance phases
How SPG Supports Power Infrastructure Projects
SPG delivers practical, mobile accommodation solutions tailored to the realities of power infrastructure work. Our caravan camps are towed into location by 4WD vehicles, eliminating the need for road train access and enabling us to reach remote areas where larger trucks cannot operate.
Camps can be mobilised and relocated quickly without cranes, minimising operational disruption as works progress along transmission lines. For longer term power generation or substation projects, we offer double ensuite transportable buildings that provide a more permanent accommodation solution. All SPG facilities are WHS-compliant and available on flexible hire terms, from one-month projects to multi-year developments.
Caravan Camps For Transmission & Line Maintenance Projects
Power line construction and maintenance programs often require camps to move progressively along transmission corridors. SPG’s caravan camps are ideally suited to this environment, with all units towed into position and repositioned as required.
With no crane dependency and no reliance on road train access, camps can be mobilised quickly and relocated with minimal downtime. Our typical camp sizes range from 10 to 60 personnel, providing the flexibility needed for smaller maintenance crews or larger transmission upgrade teams.

Transportable Building Accommodation For Long-Term Power Projects
For power projects running six months or longer, SPG provides double ensuite transportable building accommodation. These buildings offer a more stable and comfortable solution when camps are expected to remain in a fixed location throughout the project’s lifecycle.
We operate 12 double ensuite buildings, enabling us to establish a 24-person camp with enhanced comfort and privacy. This solution is well suited to substation construction, power station upgrades and major infrastructure developments where workforce accommodation is required for extended periods.
Fast Deployment & Remote Access Capability
SPG primarily services northern Western Australia and has also completed projects in the Northern Territory. Our experience operating in remote and difficult-to-access environments ensures reliable mobilisation regardless of location.
Because our caravan camps are towed by 4WD vehicles and mobilised from our Newman depot, we are not dependent on road train access. This allows us to establish camps in locations with poor road conditions or limited access for heavy vehicles. All camps are supported with 24/7 assistance, providing confidence and continuity throughout the project lifecycle.

Labour Hire, Camp Management & Transport Services
In addition to accommodation, SPG provides workforce support and camp management services for projects across the power industry. We can supply experienced camp managers, cleaning and maintenance staff, as well as qualified chefs to ensure camps operate efficiently, safely and in compliance with site standards.
SPG also owns a fleet of trucks and utilities, enabling us to provide transport services to third parties where required. With existing experience supporting mining and infrastructure projects, this capability can be integrated into power projects to assist with logistics and site mobility. The level of staffing and transport support can be scaled to suit the size and duration of your project.

Supporting Power Infrastructure Projects Across Northern WA & NT
SPG has extensive experience supporting infrastructure projects including road, rail and power line maintenance across regional and remote areas. We understand the demands of working along long distance corridors, in compliance-driven and safety-critical sectors and in areas with limited existing infrastructure.
Whether supporting small-scale maintenance works or multi-year power generation and transmission projects, we provide dependable accommodation and operational support solutions tailored to your site conditions. Our focus remains on safety, reliability and operational efficiency at every stage of the project.
“SPG Mobile Camps consistently delivered an excellent on-site experience for approximately 6 months while working on 2 remote locations undertaking Rural Road Maintenance. The food quality was great, with meals that are both well-prepared but also catered to the crews requests. Operations run smoothly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum comfort for the crew even given the remote location with the closest facilities over 2hrs away. The staff demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude, working collaboratively with us to meet our needs and maintain a professional, welcoming environment. They always strived to meet our time constraints even given the fluid nature of construction. We will definitely be using them again in the future and recommend them to other clients.”
- NTC Managing Director, Jason Varcoe
“Site Projects Group (SPG) have been supplying our company with camp accommodation and meals since 2022 for the construction of a large optical fibre project. What we initially believed would be an eight-month requirement has extended for years due to delays, including cultural heritage approvals. SPG have been extremely accommodating with the many delays, changing requirements, and changes in personnel numbers. They have been great to deal with and we have had no issues at all. The SPG camp staff have been fantastic. Our personnel are treated and looked after very well, and nothing is ever a problem. Any maintenance issues are attended to immediately, rooms and ablution vans are always kept clean, and the meals are excellent with a good variety. I have no hesitation in recommending SPG as an excellent provider of camp services.”
- Peter Meiers, Project Director, Mirait Technologies Australia
“SPG has been providing camp accommodation and support services to CZR for the past 9 months and we couldn’t be happier. The camp has supported remote activities from drilling to environmental and heritage surveys and everything in between. SPG provide a full service, catering for our team, but also managing all logistics so our team can just focus on their core job and relax at the end of the day. SPG are also very responsive, mobilising additional rooms when we need them, and demobing when the job is done.”
- Stefan Murphy, Managing Director , CZR Resources Ltd
“The team at SPG have been supplying our shut team mobile toilets for the last 5 years and their service and support have been amazing. Whenever we need them they are always there to help and always work in with us to ensure our ablution requirements are met. We literally could not do our work without the support of SPG and we look forward to working with them for many years to come. Thanks!”
- The Digger Shut Team, BHP
“DDH1 Drilling have been using SPG for our remote camps where we have been unable to supply our own equipment. SPG have always been willing to go very remote locations ahead of our drilling crews to have the camp running and operational ahead of our arrival. The flexibility of their team makes for an easy working relationship when SPG are supplying DDH1 Drilling high quality camping solutions.”
- Peter Crennan, General Manager DDH1 Drilling
“I’ve been working with Tony at SPG for a year as we’ve hired two vans from them for our exploration camp in the Great Sandy Desert. I have found SPG to respond quickly and provide good quality gear. The desert is hard on everything and so things go wrong. Tony has been at the end of the phone to help trouble shoot on more than one occasion and has sent out trades as required to fix the issues. We’re very happy with the service and products that SPG has provided to us and we will use them again next season.”
- HSE and Logistics Manager, Artemis Resources
